Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets

  • 10:00 p.m. @ Ball Arena

The Denver Nuggets host The Los Angeles Lakers on their road trip to Colorado. The Nuggets are playing with a record of fourteen and eleven and were able to squeeze a win out by beating the Thunder yesterday by two points. The Nuggets came back from being down nineteen points and fought for most of the game to win. A star player for the Nuggets is Nikola Jokic. All eyes are always on him and he is putting up twenty-six points per game, eleven rebounds, and eight assists. This is why there is MVP talk about him, due to putting up triple-doubles almost every game. He is carrying this Nuggets team, but in order to keep winning, they have to keep scoring. In their last game against Los Angeles, they didn’t break 100 points and lost. Some other key players for the Nuggets are Michael Porter and Jamal Murray who played a big role in getting them to the Western Conference finals last season. The Lakers are going into this matchup with a record of twenty-one and six with the best record in the league while being dominant so far this season. In their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, they struggled in the beginning but after a slow start, they kicked it in gear and stole the W. Astonishingly enough, they are on their seventh win in a row. LeBron is always the guy for this 2021 Lakers team whether it is in the offense, defense, or trash talk he does more than help the Lakers get these wins. Also, he put up 25 points in their last contest. But now, they have Anthony Davis back in the lineup making this LA team feared amongst the NBA. People believe the way the Lakers and LeBron are playing that he deserves the MVP award. LeBron James is going into his twentieth season in the NBA. This matchup is going to be an exciting one but our pick is going to have to go to The Los Angeles Lakers who are three-point favorites. Both of these teams have good records and are high energy. The last time they played this season the Lakers won as well as last season in the Western Conference Finals.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

  • 10:00 p.m. @ Staples Center

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue their west coast road trip as they battle the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are doing amazing just like their neighbors the Lakers, they have a record of nineteen and eight, and are hot going into this matchup off two wins. They were able to still win these games without Paul George in the lineup. With Paul George returning soon Kawhi Leonard has had to pick up most of the slack while putting himself in MVP contention. Leonard is the key player to look for this matchup with twenty-six points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. If Kawhi stays on this path to greatness being one of the most exciting players to watch in the league and Paul George makes a complete healthy return this team has a good chance to go all the way this season. Since Coming out of the bubble this NBA season has been eventful, and the once-great Cavaliers are on the road to shame. Especially after being clowned by the Trail Blazers, they are in the middle of a six-game losing streak. This Cleveland team is young, so these losses aren’t surprising, but the way in which they are losing is concerning. They have been losing games by fifteen points or more, in their last matchup against Portland, they lost 129-110. They haven’t been able to finish either, most of these games were called after the 3rd quarter of play. Unaware of what the issue is, this Cavaliers team needs to get their act together because team morale is definitely rock bottom. Without LeBron, the Cavs took a huge hit offensively they are now only twenty-ninth in the league for scoring. The Pairing of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland in the back as well as Andre Drummond, Jarret Allen, and Kevin Love in the front should be an answer to their prayers, but they have just put on a terrible display so far as a unit. Our pick would have to go to the Clippers, they are on fire this season, and it seems like there is no stopping them anytime soon. It would be nice to see the Cavs make a comeback with Love in the lineup, but Kawhi and The Clippers are too hot right now. Plus, the last time these teams faced, Los Angeles won by more than twenty points. The Clippers have also beaten the Cavs six times in a row over the last couple of seasons. The Clippers go into this game as ten-point favorites and they are going to be our pick for this one. Start you sportsbook business today, with Ace Per Head.

Grizzlies continue west coast road trip and take on SAC Town

  • 10:00 @ Golden 1 Center

The Sacramento Kings host the Grizzlies for some action-packed Sunday night basketball. Sac-Town is at an underwhelming record of twelve and thirteen so far and just suffered an embarrassing loss to a handicapped Orlando Magic. De’Aaron Fox was out for the Kings due to a minor injury and if he was playing, he could’ve helped them win, but without their superstar, Sacramento fell apart. This is bad for the Kings because it should’ve been an easy victory against the Magic because Orlando had four men out and the only reason they lost was that Fox was out. So, if he doesn’t return soon it could be detrimental to their already flawed record because he is a guaranteed thirty points for them. Memphis, a personal favorite of mine, is going into this game with a record of ten and eleven and had a heartbreaking loss to the Mighty Los Angeles Lakers. They were struggling early on this season but have proved to be a dynamic and explosive team offensively. They were about to put 105 points up on the Lakers and only hold them to 115 which is an impressive feat. Also, it’s sad because they came out hot at the beginning of the game having the Lakers trailing them as they took a 22-4 lead in the first quarter. They were once on a seven-game winning streak, but ever since then, they have only got a single win and five losses. Also, this Grizzlies team is handicapped, with star Jaren Jackson Jr. out with an injury who is a vital part of this young Grizzlies team. They are also without Desmond Bane and Brandon Clarke which adds another significant blow because this team is young, skilled, and these players are losing time to grow, get better, and make an impact in the game. A key player to pick and I’d always put my money on is Ja Morant. The Grizzlies star is consistent from the field and leads this Grizzlies team at such a young age, he is guaranteed to put up big numbers and make an impact on the game. Morant is going to be an interesting player to watch grow in the league, due to his versatile style of play and tenacity on the court. This Memphis Grizzlies team has a lot of potential from their young explosive numbers to the pairing of Jackson Jr. and Morant. Our pick is going to go to the Memphis Grizzlies as they are competitive and just gave the Lakers a run for their money while Sacramento struggled against the Magic. It seems safe to say Memphis will be closing the week with a tied record and a win. www.AcePerHead.com has the sharpest betting lines in the pay per head industry.
