NBA Tonight: Pelicans vs Utah, Knicks vs Warriors preview, prediction
January 21, 2021
Now that the 2021 season is well underway there are games every night for players to bet on. Whether you’re a veteran bettor or just trying to learn, there is always a good range of games being played due to being played nightly instead of just a few days out of the week. Because of the NBA playing every day of the week and having more games per week, this is a perfect time for agents. In this time period, if you stay on top of your booking action, you’ll see a higher rate in betting, ultimately leading to more wins due to their losses. All this can be done with a free bookie software site like Ace Per Head.com. The National Basketball Association’s inaugural season since leaving the bubble has been action-packed and unusual. Still no fans, but they are back in arenas. Wild trades like Harden joining his old Oklahoma City teammate Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for a “Big 3” in Brooklyn and more!
New Orleans Pelicans vs Utah Jazz Preview
So, let’s get to the action you’ll be seeing in the NBA universe. First up you have the Utah Jazz who look to take on and ruffle up the New Orleans’ Pelicans’ feathers. The second game of this series will be played at home for the Utah Jazz who have the second-best record in the league. They are hot right now with six straight wins, the last two wins belonging to the Pelicans, and they are looking to add another against them tonight. Then you have the Louisiana heat the New Orleans Pelicans, but unfortunately, they haven’t been so hot. With a 5 and 8 record coming off this loss to the Jazz they are in the lower tier of the Western Conference. The Jazz led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert is looking elite. While the Pelicans have young guns Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball, who go hard in the paint. They have a very flashy & fast-paced style of play, but they haven’t been able to be clutch and close out a game strong. This game looks exciting as the Pelicans try to avoid the sweep but will have to battle the Jazz for this one, it definitely won’t be handed to them. The New Orleans Pelicans are going to have to call in the big guns and bring everything they have. They are going to need Lonzo Ball to show out and have extra support from Brandon Ingram who netted 17 against the Jazz. The rest of the bench needs to show up because they were nonexistent last game. The Pelicans’ key player is Zion Williamson, who was charged up and led the team in points and rebounds totaling 32 points and 17 rebounds. He keeps putting up consistent and more importantly big numbers. Williamson is on his way to stardom, I would definitely watch out for him this game.
Pelicans odds:6.5 -110 Total 218.5-110
The Jazz has been on the radar in the NBA due to their great play and readiness to compete in the postseason. Last game against the Pelicans, the Jazz had multiple players scoring numbers in double digits. As well as dropping 23 3-pointers and shooting 50% from the field. The Utah Jazz is definitely the favorite in this one as they try to keep their winning streak going. For the Jazz, no surprise their key player in Donovan Mitchell dropped 4 treys on the Pelicans as well as 4 assists, 28 points, and 7 boards. Mitchell is going to bring his A-game as he always has in these past 14 games averaging 3.7 rebounds, 23.5 points, and 4.9 assists. He will make this game an interesting one and will one hundred percent have an impact on this team & their spot on the leaderboards in the West.
Jazz Odds: -6.5-110 Total 218.5-110
The Jazz is a train that can’t be stopped, and they seem like they don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. In the past 6 games, they look unbeatable and seem like a championship contender team. They are the favorites and I believe they are on their way to their 7th straight win. Unless Zion and Lonzo are able to take charge of the Pelicans, come out playing hard, and being able to keep up that energy and finish strong, the Pelicans’ will face another defeat. I have faith in Zion but he’s young and needs to keep their nerves in check during the last moments of playing time.
This game can be watched on Thursday, January 21st, 2021 10:00 PM ET.
Golden State Warriors vs New York Nicks Preview
Another battle taking place tonight is between the Golden State Warriors (7-6) and the New York Knicks (7-8). Ranked 6th in the east the Knicks are off to a better start this year, winning their last two games. Then you have the Warriors ranked 7th in the western conference have had a rough start unlike years past. Although it was slow at the beginning of the season, The Warriors really picked it up after beating the Lakers. This game is going to be an exciting one for agents, bettors, and NBA fans.
There has been talked of playoff contention for the Knicks due to them strengthening their defense. They also have been able to improve the offense, moving the ball with more passion which can help them hold their own against the best teams. Never thought there would be a day where the Knicks could be seen as a threat to the Warriors in the game. It all comes down to the Knicks’ new backbone, Julius Randle. Shooting 35.5% from beyond the arc and 48.4% from the field. He’s having a great season with 22.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. If the Warriors want to steal this game from the Knicks they are going to have to get through Julius Randle first. The Warriors have been a steamroller in the NBA in the past, but with recent struggles, they haven’t been able to strike gold. However, they have made progress, and this is due to All-star Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Making smart plays on both sides of the court with ease Green has been more than clutch. Even though his numbers might not be high his actions on the court are enough to influence the game and the Warriors’ scoring ability. Players to watch are Oubre jr. , Andrew Wiggins, and Eric Paschall. But for the Warriors, the key player is Stephen Curry he’s been killing it as always with an average of 6.2 assists, 28.2 points, 5.2 rebounds. Curry is shooting 36.6% from the 3-point line and 44.0% from the field. The Knicks have a strong base but have a lot to fear with Curry & company all performing at a high level.
The Warriors line up is hot so even if Steph Curry is off, the rest of the Warriors could pick up the slack to take down the Knicks. If this was 5 years ago, I’d say this game was a blowout, but now the Knicks might put up a good fight. At the end of the day, Golden State is the favorites and I’d take them due to the fact the Knicks still can’t keep up with the Warriors’ offense & that Golden State has been able to play defense and hang with the best while New York is shaky against the elite.
